Kataliz Derneği'nin Türkiye'de kataliz konusunda akademik ve endüstriyel faaliyetlerin etkinleştirilmesi ve geliştirilmesini sağlamak ve bu alandaki ilgili uluslararası kuruluşlarla ilişkiler kurmak ve bu konuda çalışmalar yapan kişi ve kuruluşlara destek vermek amacıyla bugüne dek gerçekleştirdiği çalışmalar şunlardır :

Birinci Ulusal Kataliz Konferansı (17-20 Ocak 2007, Kıbrıs),
İkinci Ulusal Kataliz Konferansı (18-21 Haziran 2008, Erzurum),
NOx Emisyon Giderimi Katalizörleri Çalıştayı (16 Mayıs 2007, ODTÜ)

Üyelerini ve katılımcılarını ulusal ve evrensel gelişmelerden haberdar etmek amacıyla gerçekleştirilen konferanslar ve yeni projelerin oluşması için fırsat yaratmak amacıyla düzenlenen çalıştay, alana yeni katılmış araştırmacı, lisans ve lisansüstü öğrencilerin kataliz alanında temel bilgi birikimlerini pekiştirmeyi hedeflemiştir.

Halihazırda 54 üyesi bulunan ve katılacak olan yeni üyelerinin de bilgi birikimleri ve çalışmalarının katkısıyla Türkiye'de kataliz konusunda önemli bir boşluğu doldurmaya başlayan Kataliz Derneği, yeni konferans ve çalıştaylarla alanında örnek bir dernek olmayı hedeflemektedir.

Kataliz Derneği yılından bu yana EFCATS (European Federation of Catalysis Societies) üyesidir.

ASC-5. 5th Anatolian School of Catalysis
from fundamentals to applications

8-11 September 2019

Angora Beach Resort, Seferihisar, Izmir.

The organizing committee cordially invites graduate/undergraduate students, post-doctoral, and all early career researchers working in the field of catalysis. The school will be held in Angora Beach Hotel in Izmir (Turkey) between 8 and 11 September 2019.

The main theme of the school is “from fundamentals to applications” covering all aspects of heterogeneous catalysis. It involves lectures on selected topics given by world renowned leaders in the field and discussions on the latest findings and developments.

The main objectives are listed as follows:
  1. Enhancing knowledge and horizon of graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, and early career researchers in the catalysis field covering all the aspects "from fundamentals to applications".
  2. Bringing young researchers together with the experts in the field to help them built their networking at such an early stage in their research career.
We are looking forward to welcoming you in İzmir for this international event and to share with you the latest scientific progress.

Abstract Submission
All participants are strongly encouraged to submit an abstract for the poster session of the summer school. The submitted abstracts will be published in an Abstract Book.

Abstracts must be written with the following template in English and submitted to the organizing committee in .docx format using a standardized file name “5thASC_Last name_First name.docx” using online form on the Registration page (please add the link here)

Ten of the submitted abstracts will be selected as a candidate for the short oral presentation during the summer school.

Academic (by August 23, 2019): 100 Euro
Academic (after August 23, 2019): 200 Euro

Industry (by August 23, 2019): 400 Euro
Industry (after August 23, 2019): 800 Euro

The fee includes registration to the summer school, trip to the Ancient City of Ephesus, accommodation for three nights at the all-inclusive Angora Beach Resort, and Turkish Catalysis Society Membership fee.
